The Eure-and-Loir
is a department of contrasts, as well in its landscapes
as in its inheritance and its tradition :
- The Beauce,
rich and gilded plain with luminous horizons
- The Perche,
the green country, with the cleared up deep forests
of ponds in north, the squared hills rebounded by
brooks stirring up in the south
- The two valleys, the
Eure and the Loir, one and the other
born in the Perche but so different from personality.
However, the unit of the department is carried out,
deep, powerful by the radiation
of the Chartres Cathedral. |
